Terms of Service

1. Rental Agreement

By renting equipment from Dad Cam Rentals (operated by Nightfox Films), you agree to these terms and the Rental Agreement accepted at the time of booking.

2. Rental Period

Your rental period begins on the first delivery attempt by the carrier and ends when the return shipment is scanned by the carrier. A 24-hour grace period applies to returns — equipment returned within 24 hours of the rental end date will not incur late fees.

3. Payment

All payments are processed through Stripe. Full payment is required before equipment ships. We accept all major credit and debit cards. By providing a payment method, you authorize us to charge for the rental, any applicable services, shipping, protection plans, and any fees incurred during the rental period.

4. Equipment Care

You agree to exercise reasonable care with all rented equipment. Report any damage, malfunction, or loss within 24 hours of discovery. Unreported damage discovered upon return will be presumed to have occurred during your rental period.

5. Protection Plans

DadGuard and DadGuard+ are contractual liability caps — not insurance policies. See our DadGuard page for full coverage details, exclusions, and liability caps.

6. Late Returns

Late fees are calculated at 25% of the 4-day rental rate per day. An overnight shipping surcharge may apply if late return delays equipment availability for subsequent bookings.

7. Non-Return

Equipment not returned within 7 days past the rental end date will be considered non-returned. You will be charged the full replacement value of the equipment, and we reserve the right to pursue civil and criminal remedies.

8. Cancellations

Cancellations made before equipment ships receive a full refund minus a cancellation fee (the lesser of $100 per box or one day's rental rate). Cancellations after shipment are subject to the full rental charge.

9. Early Returns

Equipment returned early may be eligible for repricing at a shorter duration rate. Repricing is available only if more than 20% of the rental period remains at the time of return.

10. Shipping

We ship via ground carrier. Delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees. Shipping equipment via an unapproved method (air freight, international carrier, etc.) may void your protection plan coverage.

11. Post-Production Services

If you've selected a footage plan (Corrections or VHS Edit), we will process your footage after the camera is returned and deliver it via a cloud download link with a 30-day expiration. Turnaround times are estimates.

12. Limitation of Liability

Dad Cam Rentals' total liability for any claim arising from a rental shall not exceed the total amount paid for that rental. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including but not limited to lost footage, missed events, or production delays.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes shall be resolved in Monroe County, NY.
