Dadcam Rentals is operated by Nightfox Films, based in Jamestown, NY. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our website and rental services.

What We Collect

When you submit a booking request, we collect:

• Name, email address, and phone number
• Rental preferences (camera, dates, footage plan, protection plan)
• Shipping address (provided during the booking confirmation process)

We also collect device and browser metadata for bot prevention and use website analytics with IP anonymization to understand how visitors use our site. We respect your browser's Do Not Track setting.

How We Use Your Information

• To process and fulfill your rental booking
• To send booking confirmations and rental communications
• To process payments
• To present the Rental Agreement for your acceptance
• To contact you about your rental (shipping updates, return reminders)

Payment Processing

Your payment card details are collected and processed directly by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate our website and fulfill your rental:

• Stripe for payment processing (card data handled directly by Stripe)
• Cloudflare for website hosting (Pages), CDN, DDoS protection, and bot verification (Turnstile)
• Resend for transactional email delivery (booking confirmations, rental communications)
• Google Analytics for website analytics (IP addresses are anonymized, Do Not Track is respected)
• EasyPost for shipping rate calculation and label generation

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Local Storage

Our website uses your browser's local storage (not cookies) to:

• Persist your shopping cart between page visits and browser sessions
• Store a referral code if you arrive via a partner link (e.g. ?ref=CODE), used to attribute your booking to a referral partner

This data stays in your browser and is not transmitted to our servers until you submit a booking. You can clear it at any time via your browser settings.

Data Retention

We retain your data for the following periods:

• Booking records: 90 days in our operational systems, 7 years in payment processor records for tax and insurance purposes
• Referral commission records: up to 1 year
• Email delivery logs: 7 days

You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us.

Cookies

Our website uses analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand site usage. These cookies contain no personal information and IP addresses are anonymized. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, no analytics cookies are set. Functional cookies may be set by Cloudflare for security purposes (bot prevention, DDoS protection).

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing info@dadcamrentals.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days.
