Common Questions

What's included in the rental?
Camera body, batteries, charger, 32GB memory card, HDMI cable, wrist strap, protective case, quick-start card, and a prepaid return shipping label.
What if something breaks?
Normal wear and tear is on us. For accidental damage, add DadGuard or DadGuard+ and your liability drops to 10% of replacement value.
What's DadGuard?
DadGuard is our damage protection plan. It's a contractual liability cap — not insurance. Standard DadGuard covers accidental damage. DadGuard+ adds theft and total loss coverage. Either way, your liability drops to 10% of the camera's replacement value.
How do I get my footage?
Ship the camera back and we handle the rest. Every rental includes Raw Footage delivery -- your clips ripped, transcoded to MP4, and sent via cloud link. Upgrade to Corrections ($80) for color and audio fixes, or the VHS Edit ($240) for a full highlight reel.
What's the difference between the footage plans?
Raw Footage is your clips as-is, ready to edit yourself. Corrections adds per-clip color correction and audio leveling. The VHS Edit is the full treatment — your footage edited into one video with a title card and date. Just like the tapes you grew up on.
Can I rent for a single day?
Our shortest rental is 3 days. Since we ship, this gives you time to receive, use, and return the camera.
Do you ship nationwide?
Yes. Shipping is $24 for your first camera, $4 for each additional. Prepaid return label included.
What if I want to keep it longer?
No problem. Let us know before your return date and we'll extend at a prorated rate with a 10% on-time discount.
